During your browse of the internet for wholesale goods, you’re bound to run across a wholesale pallet lot. While they may vary in goods and prices, there is usually one common theme to these wholesale lots. And that is uncertainty.

Because the pallets are listed as one whole unit with many pieces, the exact list of products usually is not listed. It is common to list the pallet as “hard good returns” or “soft goods” or any variation of that. A soft goods pallet usually contains linins, clothing, etc. While a hard goods pallet may contain department store returns or hardware. While the pallet may be listed as “customer returns from ABC company” meaning that the pallet contains items that were returned by customers of abc company. These pallets contain working items and may not. When buying a wholesale lot pallet like this, consider that it will take you 3 like items to make one available for sale.

While these wholesale lot pallets can be a great deal, they can also be a great big pile of junk. Imagine investing hundreds or thousands of dollars in a wholesale pallet deal only to find broken parts or black and white televisions that don’t even work. It’s best to get some sort of idea of what’s on the pallet and the reason why the pallet is being sold. Reasons may include store returns, discontinued merchandise, overstock items, etc.

Finding a reputable wholesale pallet company can be a pain in the rear, however with the internet like always, allow customers who have dealt with a company to tell of their experience with that company. Be weary of companies that don’t have phone numbers listed in case there is a problem. It’s also best to see pictures of the pallets before you buy. And if you can get the exact contents of the pallet, which is not allowed by most pallets dealers. Get as much info on the pallet as you can before you buy.

Cherry Picking a pallet means to pull good items from the pallet and replace them with not so good items. This is what you’re trying to avoid when purchasing a wholesale pallet lot. Be cautious and you just might be able to make some profit off your pallet.
